Roe Green
Exhibition 2013
We were lucky to have
been offered exhibition space at Start in Salford, Brunswick House,
for three weeks starting on 11th September. We only had
a couple of week's to prepare for this as it came about through a
cancellation. Consequently we were totally unprepared for what was
to follow and the hard work that was involved in putting an
exhibition on.
Group members had to get
busy framing and labelling their work and we eventually got
everything ready for the day before the opening – just enough time
for us to take the pictures to Start and hang them. Thankfully Danny
Morrell helped with this and Hilda Kirkman and myself managed to hang
the pictures in time.
The exhibition was opened
by Pauline Ogden of 'Friends of Roe Green', and a thank you to
Pauline for agreeing to do this.
The photographs show how
fantastic the exhibition was and it really gave a boost to our
confidence.
We were very grateful
also for the support shown by members of the Boothstown Art Group, as
several members came to the opening ceremony.
